As in regular dot matrix printing the smaller the dots, and the closer they are packed, the finer the detail you can achieve in the image. Unlike regular printing, the sequence of dots can be designed to switch on and off and their colours to change in phase so that designs and patterns can be built. Because Dot Matrix is a what-you-see-is-what-you-get system, the quality of its output is highly dependent on the quality of the design that is inputted. Light Impressions has invested heavily over the years in our graphics capabilities and the people who run them. This way we can ensure that our Dot Matrix images are always of the highest quality. Dot Matrix optically variable devices (OVDs) are best suited to protecting documents and products that are at low levels of risk from fraud. | |
